Studying the Schedule

Category: metrofail — admin @ 2:30 pm

So I’m looking at the schedule (from an article in Community Impact) and it’s kind of interesting. There will be four trains running. Here’s how it looks in the morning.

Train 1 will leave Leander at 5:25AM and arrive at downtown at 6:27AM. It will then leave downtown at 6:41AM and arrive in Leander at 7:43AM. Then it will leave Leander at 7:54AM and arrive downtown at 8:56AM. Then it will leave downtown at 9:05AM and end at Crestview at 9:25 AM.

Train 2 will leave Leander at 6:00AM and arrive at downtown at 7:02 AM. Then it will leave downtown at 7:17AM and go only to Howard at 7:50AM. Then it will leave Howard at 8:02AM and arrive downtown at 8:35AM.

Train 3 will be used for only one southbound route – leave Leander at 6:35AM, arrive at downtown at 7:37AM.

Train 4 will be used for only one southbound route – leave Leander at 7:10AM, arrive downtown at 8:12AM.

No idea why they aren’t allowing anyone to go northbound on the last two trains. They’ll have to pass the stations to get from the yard.

Capital Metro Says They’ll be Ready…

Capital Metro says they’ll be ready, but you’ve got to love this quote:

“It doesn’t come anywhere close to me, but I hope it does someday, because I would use it,” said Missy Mandell.

And isn’t that the problem? Most of the stations aren’t near where people live or near where they work.
